Should I Seal my Concrete?

We’ve made it quick and easy for our customers to see the pros and cons of treating their concrete, stone, and/or pavers with sealer all in one place.

Why Seal My Concrete?

Concrete, bricks, and many stones used for making our properties look beautiful are porous which allows water to seep in through the surface. This results in mold and algae which are largely responsible for that old and dirty look we often see on these surfaces. Sealant effectively water proofs the surface, inhibiting stains, enriching color, and lengthening the lifespan.

Pros

  • Inhibition of water absorption

  • Inhibition of mold growth

  • Stain Blocker from wine and other usually staining substances

  • Enhances the color of the surface

  • Fights freeze-thaw in porous surfaces

Cons

  • Can be slippery

  • Resealing required every few years especially in high traffic areas

  • Cost

Below We Have A Few Different Choices of Sealant and Their Brief Descriptions

The "Wet Look" Sealer (Popular)

This sealer is optimal for keeping the surface looking like new and keeping it consistently waterproof, but be careful because it can be slippery in the rain! See picture below for example.

The "Color Boost" Sealer

This sealer is optimal for color enrichment, water proofing, and a dry look. The only difference between this sealer and the "Wet Look" is the wet and dry nature which they appear after the sealant has dried. See picture below for example.

The "Natural Look" Sealer

No picture needed! If you love the way your surfaces look already and don't want them to change, choose the natural look. Water proofs like the rest and keeps the original natural features.
